5-day Sahara Desert trekking in Morocco, where vast golden dunes, endless horizons, and the magic of the desert await. Walk through the breathtaking landscapes of southern Morocco, guided by experienced nomadic Berber guides and camel handlers who bring this adventure to life. A traditional caravan of camels carries your luggage, allowing you to immerse yourself in the journey fully. - Itinerary
Day 1: M’Hamid – bertam
Start of the dromedary trek in Mhamid. After a two-hour walk (or camel ride), we will find a cosy spot in the shade to enjoy our first delicious lunch and then relax. Afterwards, another hour-long walk will take us to our first campsite called Bartam. There we pitch our tents for the first night and enjoy the sunset in the dunes. When it gets dark, we light a warming fire, marvel at the breathtaking starry sky and, in the meantime, the kitchen team prepares dinner. You can choose whether you want to sleep in a tent or under the open sky and marvel at the Milky Way
Day 2: bertam – talhat
Depart after breakfast and continue your camel caravan toward talhatin, known for its towering dunes and panoramic views. This area is untouched and peaceful. Arrive in time for sunset over the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a wild camp.
Day 3: talhat – erg ait onir
Those who wish can start the day with a picturesque sunrise or by sleeping in. After breakfast, we break camp, load the dromedaries and set off on the next stage of our journey to Ait Ounir. Of course, we will be treated to another delicious lunch before continuing on to our sleeping quarters. Another highlight awaits you in the evening. You can watch how sand bread is baked and you will be amazed that it doesn’t crunch when you eat it
Day 4: eErg ait onir – Erg Ezzehar
The final stage takes us to the over 100-metre-high dune in Erg Zahar. Those who climb to the summit will be rewarded with an unforgettable view. Of course, we will once again be treated to culinary delights throughout the day.
Day 5:Erg Ezzehar – M’Hamid
After our last breakfast in the Sahara, we will be taken back to Mhamid by jeep. But before we end the tour, we will enjoy another delicious lunch. We will take you back to your booked accommodation in Mhamid.
